Travel to Utsira and experience the idyllic island community out at sea. To get there, you need to take a ferry boat from Haugesund, that run several times daily. The trip takes about 70 minutes and is and in itself a quite amazing journey. Besides shuttling people, the ferry also takes cars and bikes. A nice way to travel from Haugesund in the summer, can be that you bring a bicycle. You can see most of the island with a bike and hiking around. 

A day trip is possible, but if you want to experience everything the island has to offer, you should add an overnight stay or two. There are many possibilities to stay over night at Utsira. 

Utsira has a sea view as far as the eye can see. The island has a lot to offer. Great hiking trails, street art, many different bird species, food experiences from sea and land and peace and quiet.
